The event provides a space for States and young people to report on national efforts on making the 1998 Lisbon Declaration commitments a reality for young people; facilitate a dialogue around innovative and operational strategies and initiatives that are advancing youth mainstreaming in policy making; enable the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the achievement of SDGs; and trigger discussions around emerging youth issues and means to effectively assist and engage youth in overcoming the challenges resulting from a changing world.
